The Office of the Solicitor is the legal arm of the DOI, with nearly 200 practicing attorneys in the headquarters office and over 300 attorneys nationwide. Responsibilities: As a legal intern/extern, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse workload, including advising agencies on the legal aspects of their mission and participating in complex civil litigation. You will also have the chance to conduct legal research on environmental, administrative, and Indian law issues, draft legal documents, and assist with discovery in active federal cases.
