Executive Director of Business Support Services - Experienced Level

KPMG is currently seeking an experienced Executive Director to join our Office of General Counsel as an Associate General Counsel for Litigation. This role will provide legal support for the Practice Protection Team and will be responsible for managing and defending civil litigation, regulatory investigations, and other legal matters related to the Firm. Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel for civil litigation, regulatory investigations, and government inquiries
- Represent KPMG and its professionals in legal proceedings and provide advice to Firm leaders
- Develop and implement strategies to defend litigation claims and investigations
- Collaborate with outside counsel and other members of the Office of General Counsel
- Report to and consult with the Vice Chair for Legal, Regulatory & Compliance/General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation
- Assist in financial projections for legal matters

Qualifications:

- Minimum 18 years of experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience defending complex civil litigations and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms, professional organizations, or financial institutions preferred
- JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the .
- Experience in the Division of Enforcement of the SEC or PCAOB a plus, but not required
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously, with strategic thinking and the highest ethical standards
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Demonstrated collaboration skills and client-service orientation
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Salary Information:

- California Salary Range: $331,000 - $737,000
- Salary ranges vary by location and are based on factors such as skills, job responsibilities, experience, and market considerations
