Tax Manager - Real Estate Tax (Central Region Office Locations)

- Provide compliance and consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships
- Work directly with clients, manage tax engagement team, access to specialists and state of the art technology
- Responsibilities include assisting clients with life events for partnerships, using proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance, maintaining strong client relationships, advising on tax issues, overseeing complex federal tax projects, managing engagement workflow and mentoring junior staff
- Deloitte works with clients in addressing critical issues in the real estate industry such as regulatory changes, competition, globalization, technology advancements, and changing customer demands
- Business tax services relevant for public and private companies and range from tax planning to compliance, controversy and risk management, specialized services, and tax management consulting
- Hybrid work model requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
- 5+ years of corporate or international tax experience, bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, and one of the following accreditations: CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average
- Preferred qualifications include advanced degree, previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience, experience with US clients and understanding of US tax, effective communication and research skills, self-starter, and strong understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills
- Range for this role is $84,980 to $169,650, with potential for discretionary annual incentive program
