Senior Program Manager, DOT Compliance, Fleet Compliance at Amazon

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of regulatory, legal, compliance and/or risk management experience.
- 2+ years of experience in the transportation industry or working knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.

DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for vehicle-related DOT compliance initiatives for last mile carriers.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve compliance and mitigate risks.
- Lead and execute multiple continuous improvement projects.
- Consider stakeholder deliverables and critical path items in developing strategies.
- Communicate clearly and succinctly to a variety of audiences and business leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain mechanisms for last mile carrier operating authorities.
- Build relationships with transportation business teams and support timely regulatory filings and reports.
- Use data to support analysis and conclusions.
- Support legal and regulatory inquiries and develop standard operating procedures.
- Maintain program performance and compliance metrics.
- Scale transportation knowledge and mechanisms through training and development.

REQUIREMENTS:
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience with commercial motor vehicles or other federal regulatory and enforcement programs.
- Proven track record in advising on complex regulatory questions and long-term planning.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Experience in launching or implementing new programs or initiatives.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
- Advanced degree (. MBA, Juris Doctor (Law)).
- Project management experience or relevant certification (Project Management Professional (PMP)).

COMPENSATION:
- Base pay ranges from $92,500/year to $185,000/year depending on geographic market and job-related factors.
- Total compensation package may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
