# Corporate Counsel, Project Kuiper (Satellites)

Amazon is looking for an experienced and talented attorney to join the Legal team supporting Project Kuiper. This initiative is aimed at launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating technology development and licensing agreements, and subcontracts related to prime contracts with . federal agencies.

## Job Description
The Corporate Counsel, Project Kuiper (Satellites) will be responsible for:

* Developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways
* Drafting and negotiating technology transactions
* Negotiating subcontracts related to prime contracts with . federal agencies
* Building processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly
* Working closely with the Kuiper Government Solutions team

## Basic Qualifications

* . degree from an accredited law school
* Active membership in one state bar
* 5+ years experience as an attorney

## Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience drafting and negotiating technology transactions
* A mix of law firm and in-house experience
* Experience working in the satellite, space or terrestrial telecommunications industries
* Demonstrated knowledge of . government contracting laws, rules and regulations
* Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
