The firm has multiple locations in Mississippi, including Gulfport, Hattiesburg, and Pascagoula. This position requires a Juris Doctor degree and a license to practice law in the State of operations. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of legal experience in domestic relations law or as a prosecutor, with a preference for child support enforcement experience. Two years of management experience is also preferred, but not required. The primary responsibility of the Managing Attorney is to represent the State in all judicial and administrative proceedings as directed by State policy. This includes providing litigation services and leadership and supervision to the Staff Attorneys. Additionally, the Managing Attorney will serve as the office liaison with court clerks, magistrates, and judges. This position requires a strong understanding of federal and state child support policies and procedures, as well as the ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and regulations associated with the child support enforcement program.
