CONVERSION - Core Tax Associate - Summer 2025 (Charlotte) Job Summary: The Core Tax Associate position is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics to utilize their educational background and organizational skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position, located in Charlotte, NC, will involve working with tax software applications and conducting basic research to assist with the preparation of tax returns and provide tax consulting services. Key Responsibilities: - Tax Compliance: Ensuring clients comply with all applicable tax laws while minimizing their tax and reporting burdens. This includes preparing tax returns, collecting necessary data, and utilizing compliance software for efficiency. - ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals: Applying firm policies and standards regarding income tax provisions. - Tax Consulting: Assisting with developing efficient methods to maximize client benefits and identifying potential tax issues or opportunities. - Other duties as required. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required. Master's in Accountancy or Taxation preferred. - Experience: Leadership experience and/or accounting-based internships preferred. - License/Certifications: Eligible to sit for CPA exams and progress towards admission to practice in a . jurisdiction or towards an Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred. - Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred. - Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team setting, and attention to detail. Salary Information: Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
