Job Overview: A law firm in Englewood, CO, seeks a Litigation Community Lawyer with an active and good-standing Colorado Bar license. The ideal candidate will possess a litigation background and/or a strong desire to engage in litigation-related matters and at least 3 years of litigation experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Homeowners' Association (HOA) or Special District experience.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in various litigation matters related to community law, including but not limited to HOA disputes and special district issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide effective representation for clients.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to strategize and execute litigation plans.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts throughout the litigation process.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Active and in good standing Colorado Bar license.
  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong desire to practice in litigation-related matters.
  • Background in Homeowners' Association (HOA) and/or Special District experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado Bar.
  • Any additional certifications relevant to community law or litigation are a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice.
