Job Summary:
- Responsible for representing clients in all assigned cases with competence, ethics, and diligence.
- Cases may involve various areas of tort practice.
- Handles cases of moderate to great complexity and/or exposure, and may assist in cases assigned to other attorneys.

Essential Job Functions:
- Prepares legal documents, attends hearings and conferences, and performs necessary tasks for the proper representation of clients.
- May assist other attorneys in assigned cases.
- Consults with and advises Claims Departments on insurance policy and personal injury claim questions.
- Provides updates on work being done for clients and any problems encountered.
- Maintains and updates computerized litigation support systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Actions:
- Duties require carrying and lifting up to 25 pounds, hearing, seeing, standing, and walking.
- Physical environment is a climate-controlled office with some exposure to outside environmental conditions and travel.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree and law school degree required.
- Must be a member in good standing of the State Bar in the state where the position is located.
- At least three years of experience as an attorney, including civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience or comparable outside experience.
- Capable of handling cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimum supervision.

Special Skill Requirement:
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Ability to handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive.
