Overview:
- The Office of the Solicitor is responsible for the legal work of the DOI, with nearly 200 practicing attorneys nationwide
- DOI's mission makes it the Nation's premier conservation agency
- Legal interns/externs will assist with legal research, drafting legal documents, and participating in complex civil litigation and administrative hearings
- Unique opportunity to work on issues related to Indian law and support programs for American Indians and Alaska Natives

Salary:
- Intern positions are unpaid, but eligible for the Transit Subsidy Benefit Program

Qualifications:
- Must be a student enrolled at least half-time
- Eligible students include: undergraduate students, public policy graduate students, first-year (second semester), second- and third-year law students, and law school graduates enrolled in graduate law programs
- Must be in good academic standing and provide official documentation from school
