As a Manager in PwC's State and Local Tax practice, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies that help clients meet their business objectives. You will also assist clients with a variety of state and local tax issues, including business restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. This role requires a thorough understanding of state and local tax laws, as well as the ability to analyze complex ideas and develop meaningful recommendations.

The successful candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, as well as a CPA, Bar membership, or other relevant certification. A Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science is preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in state and local tax planning, compliance, and consulting, and will demonstrate a strong knowledge of FAS 109, tax base rules, and tax research. Experience in multi-state jurisdictions is also preferred.

As a Manager, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include developing new skills, resolving team issues, coaching others, analyzing complex ideas, utilizing multiple sources of information, addressing sub-standard work, and upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. You will also be expected to develop a point of view on global trends and manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.

To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least four years of experience in state and local tax planning, compliance, and consulting. A CPA, Bar membership, or other relevant certification is also required. A Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science is preferred.

You should also have strong technical skills, including FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax base rules, and tax research. Experience with multi-state jurisdictions is preferred.
