Position Summary:

- Seeking a leader and strategic thinker with extensive knowledge in multiple areas of taxation
- Responsible for delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, and closely-held businesses
- Must excel in providing solutions to complex tax issues and have a strong understanding of AGI & DNI
- Opportunity to join Deloitte's Private Wealth practice

What You'll Do:

- Perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift tax returns
- Prepare for and assist in client meetings related to tax planning opportunities and transactions
- Work with a variety of clients, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners

The Team:

- Deloitte's Private Wealth team focuses on the specialized needs of the ultra-affluent
- Provides comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice
- Helps clients make informed decisions about their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- 3+ years of experience in tax planning or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Active CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or CFA/CFP certification
- Ability to travel up to 25% depending on client needs

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience at a Big 4 firm
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
- Project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
- Strong technology, research, and writing skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to articulate conclusions, planning opportunities, and risks identified through research projects
