A law firm based in Jackson, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a federal clerkship background, distinguished academic credentials, superior writing and analytical capabilities, and experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing. This position offers the opportunity for meaningful involvement in ongoing litigation cases on a national scale.

 

Duties:

  • Participate in all aspects of complex commercial litigation, including case analysis, strategy development, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appellate work.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Engage in Electronic Discovery processes and manage document review and production.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Represent clients in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and mediation sessions.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress and discuss legal strategy.
  • Handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Mentor and supervise junior associates and legal staff as necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Federal clerkship background preferred.
  • 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Distinguished academic credentials.
  • Superior writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.
  • Valid law license required.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver or reciprocity.
