  • Proficiency in public works, including bid protests, prompt payment, stop payment notices, false claims, suretyship, and prevailing wage law.
  • Knowledge of real property transactions, including due diligence, entitlements, and public agency compliance issues.
  • Familiarity with general agency law, including the Ralph M. Brown Act, the Public Records Act, and conflict of interest law.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism and competence.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong self-awareness of strengths and limitations, with a desire for ongoing professional development.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar (active and in good standing).
  • Additional certifications or specialized training in relevant legal areas are a plus.
