A law firm located in Overland Park is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The candidate will primarily be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiating, and working directly with clients.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy and arguments.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct negotiations with opposing parties and counsel.
  • Work directly with clients to provide legal advice and representation.
  • Assist with case preparation, including document review and analysis.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the states of Kansas and Missouri, or the ability to obtain both licenses promptly.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • 2-6 years of experience as a litigation or employment law associate.
  • Strong focus on excellence and superior client service.
  • Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
