A law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney for their Sacramento, CA, office. This role involves split time between insurance coverage opinion work and insurance defense litigation.

Job Overview:

The Insurance Coverage Attorney will provide legal counsel on insurance coverage matters and represent clients in insurance defense litigation. They will handle diverse cases and must possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Duties:

• Draft insurance coverage opinions for liability and property insurers with varying complexity.
• Represent clients in insurance defense litigation proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop effective legal solutions.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience handling insurance coverage matters.
• Current license to practice law in California; additional licensure in other States is a plus.
• Strong understanding of insurance law and litigation procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar; additional bar admissions preferred.
• Certifications or continuing education in insurance law are advantageous.
