Tax Staff are responsible for preparing tax returns, researching and consulting on various tax projects, responding to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities, preparing extensions and quarterly estimates, and carrying out other projects as assigned. ### Qualifications In order to be considered for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, and must meet educational requirements to obtain a CPA license upon hire in the state of employment. A Master of Tax or JD/LLM is preferred. Additionally, candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. #### Preferred Skills In addition to the required qualifications, Moss Adams prefers candidates with technology-related coursework, excellent customer service skills, creative problem solving and critical thinking skills, strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, outstanding organization and project management skills, the ability to quickly adapt to a changing work environment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. ### Compensation The compensation range for this position varies based on location, with Colorado offering $65,000-$68,000, New Mexico offering $62,000-$65,000, Utah offering $60,000-$63,000, and Texas offering $64,000-$67,000. This position may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
