A law firm based in Atlanta is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Energy Project Finance Associate Attorney with significant experience in energy project development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and project finance transactions, particularly in the renewable power and energy transition sectors. The Energy Project Finance Associate Attorney will play a key role in energy project transactions, including drafting primary deal documents, managing complex diligence, and leading client interactions. This role requires expertise in energy regulatory matters, project real property, permitting requirements, and commercial agreements.

 

Duties:

  • Handle energy project development, M&A, and project finance transactions
  • Draft primary deal documents such as purchase and sale agreements, investment agreements (including tax equity), financing agreements, and joint venture agreements
  • Lead complex diligence processes
  • Manage junior associates and internal specialist teams
  • Interact with clients and produce high-quality work products
  • Stay current with developments in energy law and regulations

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in project development and finance, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Significant experience in energy project transactions with a focus on renewable power and energy transition
  • Familiarity with energy regulatory matters and permitting requirements
  • Admission to one or more State Bars
  • Strong team orientation and ability to handle significant responsibility

 

Education:

JD degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to one or more State Bars
