The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting prior art database searches, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, providing patent prosecution counseling, offering due diligence support, and assisting in litigation matters related to medtech patents.

Job Details:

• Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
• Prepare and prosecute patent applications in the field of medical technology.
• Provide patent prosecution counseling to clients.
• Offer due diligence support for patent-related matters.
• Assist in litigation support for medtech patent cases.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of substantive patent prosecution experience.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, or bioelectrical engineering.
• USPTO registration is required.
• Superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
• Initiative, fast learner, and ability to work well with others.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, or bioelectrical engineering.

Certifications:

• USPTO registration.

Skills:

• Substantive patent prosecution experience.
• Prior art database search proficiency.
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Litigation support skills.
• Due diligence support skills.
