Duties:

  • Build and maintain client relationships with K-12 schools and community colleges.
  • Assist clients in the individualized education program process.
  • Present workshops on special education law and related topics.
  • Review and revise policies and procedures for educational institutions.
  • Respond to state and federal compliance complaints.
  • Represent clients in administrative due process hearings.

Requirements:

  • Membership in the State Bar of California.
  • Experience or interest in special education law.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
