A law firm in St. Louis is seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney with 5+ years of prior experience in employment litigation. The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic record, with a ranking in the top 1/3 of the graduating class preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a variety of labor and employment law matters, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings before state and federal agencies, including the EEOC and NLRB.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on employment-related issues, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, and employee relations.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and handbooks.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues.
  • Prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and settlement discussions.
  • Keep abreast of developments in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of prior experience in employment litigation.
  • Excellent academic record, with a ranking in the top 1/3 of the graduating class preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Missouri State Bar (required).

 

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
