Tax Senior Manager - Business Tax Services for Financial Services Industry (22 locations)

Position Summary

Deloitte is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Tax Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice. In this role, you will provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the securities and financial services industries. You will work directly with clients, manage a team, and have access to a network of specialists to ensure success in your role and career.

Responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships on various federal tax consulting and compliance engagements
- Advising clients on a range of tax issues including accounting for income taxes, tax provisions, compliance, business restructuring, and tax controversy
- Overseeing complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects for various entities and their affiliates

The Team

Deloitte Tax LLP's Business Tax Services team is a dynamic group of professionals with diverse backgrounds. We provide expertise to clients, helping them gain a competitive advantage by integrating tax strategy into their business operations while managing individual risk profiles. Our team includes subject matter experts and industry specialists who offer relevant services and solutions to our clients. We assist with global tax challenges and help transform tax departments to create greater impact and efficiency within organizations. Our services range from tax planning and compliance to controversy and risk management, with specialized offerings such as research and development, government incentives, and tax management consulting.

Qualifications

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 2-3 days of in-person work per week
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for work and client engagements
- 8+ years of experience preparing and reviewing federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Experience working virtually or in a global environment
- Passion for utilizing technology and exploring new solutions
- Knowledge of ASC740 for accounting for income taxes
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Supervisory experience
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills

Salary Information:

The salary range for this role is $119,490 to $272,090 and takes into consideration various factors such as skills, experience, and certifications. The actual salary may vary based on individual circumstances.
