Duties:

  • Handle a caseload of medical malpractice and civil litigation matters.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, medical experts, and other parties.

  • Attend continuing legal education seminars to stay current on relevant laws and developments.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
  • Litigation experience, with a focus on medical malpractice cases preferred.
  • Immediate first- and second-chair experience in medical malpractice and civil litigation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case management software.

 

Preferred Certifications:

Certification in medical malpractice law or related field is advantageous.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
  • Ability to review medical records and understand complex medical issues.
  • Experience with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
