Overview:

The Tax Services Senior role is a key position within the Financial Services Organization, specifically in the Banking & Capital Markets sector. This role is based in San Francisco, with other locations being considered on a case-by-case basis. The salary for this position is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.

As a Tax Services Senior, you will be part of the FSO Tax Banking and Capital Markets practice, leading engagements with multinational financial institutions. You will be responsible for overseeing teams, building relationships with clients, and developing tax technical positions. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of tax experience and a Bachelor's Degree, with a CPA or licensed Attorney preferred. Previous experience in the banking industry or with banking clients is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee engagements and ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables to clients
• Mentor and coach younger members of the firm
• Develop work plans and formulate tax technical positions
• Build relationships with clients and internal executives
• Support a diverse array of clients in the financial services industry
• Anticipate client inquiries, questions, needs, and issues
• Continual direct contact with clients, internal executives, industry groups, and peers

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong understanding of relevant sections of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvements in operating efficiencies
• Efficiently resolve issues and synthesize information quickly
• Working knowledge of tax compliance forms and their interactions
• Complete oversight of engagement economics

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of Tax experience
• CPA or licensed Attorney, or ability to achieve within one year of employment
• Previous experience in the banking industry or with banking clients is highly desired
• Broad exposure to federal income taxation

Additional Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skills
• SEC experience
• Proven experience in managing teams
