A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in investments, including domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. Experience with secondary transactions, structuring separately managed accounts, and structuring carry vehicles is highly desirable. Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills are essential, along with excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support in investments and fund formation matters.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating investment transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to investment funds and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including fund agreements, offering memoranda, and investor communications.
  • Collaborate with clients, lawyers, and business professionals to address legal issues and achieve objectives.
  • Handle client communication, including phone calls and correspondence, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in all work products and deliverables.
  • Meet deadlines and perform duties as required with attention to detail and precision.
  • Engage in various activities, including computer work, virtual meetings, and conference calls.

 

Requirements:

  • . degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Illinois.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC preferred.
