A law firm located in Pasadena, CA, is seeking a Real Estate Attorney with a passion for advocacy and substantial experience in general real estate matters. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various aspects of real estate law, including purchase and sales, leases, secured real property transactions, real estate development, land use, real property taxes, and environmental risk management.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of general real estate matters, including purchase and sales transactions, lease agreements, secured real property transactions, and real estate development.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on land use regulations and zoning laws.
  • Assist clients with real property tax matters and environmental risk management issues.
  • Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions and assess potential legal risks.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Experience with business matters related to real estate, such as creating new business entities, private placements, and financing transactions, is desirable.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting real estate transactions and advise clients accordingly.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of active general real property practice experience.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law and transactions.
  • Experience with various aspects of real estate, including purchase and sales, leases, land use, and environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of business matters related to real estate, such as entity formation and financing transactions, is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple client matters simultaneously.
