The Tax Manager - Real Estate at Moss Adams is a full-time position based in Orange County, CA. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide tax services to public and privately owned middle-market companies, not-for-profit organizations, and high net worth individuals. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a Master of Tax preferred, and a minimum of 4 years of related experience. This position also requires a CPA or Bar License and proven Real Estate industry experience.

The Tax Manager will be responsible for advising clients on corporate, partnership, individual, and trust and estate tax services, as well as overseeing the calculation and analysis of proprietary tax strategies. They will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships with clients, stay up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law, and provide leadership and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation, with prior experience in a public accounting firm preferred. They should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office. Previous experience working with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients is also preferred.

- Provide tax services to public and privately owned middle-market companies, not-for-profit organizations, and high net worth individuals
- Oversee the calculation and analysis of proprietary tax strategies for clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
- Stay up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
- Provide leadership and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff

Position Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; Master of Tax preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience
- Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
- CPA or Bar License required
- Proven Real Estate industry experience
- Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience
- Proficient in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation
- Prior experience working with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

At Moss Adams, we offer a compensation range of $99,000 - $173,000 for this position in California, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay may vary based on internal equity, knowledge, experience, skillset, and geographic location among other factors.
