A law firm is seeking a Senior-Level Health Care Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities, requirements, and qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Senior-Level Health Care Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to health care providers and professional entities in regulatory and transactional matters, mergers and acquisitions, fraud and abuse issues, licensure and enrollment, and reimbursement within Medicare and Medicaid frameworks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, effective communication skills, and a commitment to client service.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to health care providers and professional entities.
  • Handle regulatory diligence and structuring for business transactions.
  • Advise on fraud and abuse issues, including Stark and anti-kickback laws.
  • Assist with licensure and enrollment matters.
  • Address reimbursement issues within Medicare and Medicaid statutory and regulatory frameworks.
  • Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in health care regulatory and transactional matters, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience representing providers and professional entities.
  • Strong business and entrepreneurial sense.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service.
  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in health care law and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Stark and anti-kickback laws.
  • Understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement frameworks.
  • Legal research and writing skills.
  • Negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
