Experienced Senior, Core Tax Services, Corporate/ASC 740:
- Responsible for tax compliance, research, ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) tax accruals, tax consulting, and strategy development
- Manages projects, meets deadlines, and identifies book-to-tax differences
- Identifies potential tax issues, communicates risks, and prepares tax accrual workpapers
- Acts as main client contact and may supervise and review the work of Core Tax Services Associates
- Offers competitive salaries ranging from $80,000 to $112,000 depending on qualifications, experience, skills, and location

Responsibilities:
- Ensure clients comply with applicable tax authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens
- Manage projects and set quality tax processes and procedures
- Communicate expectations and procedures with preparers and answer their questions
- Conduct detailed reviews of all returns and raise potential tax issues
- Meet internal deadlines and identify book-to-tax differences
- Develop budgets, monitor budget vs. actual, and schedule resources for projects
- Identify when research is needed and clearly and concisely report the analysis
- Apply Firm and professional standards for tax returns and WTA preparation
- Proactively apply Firm policies and standards for FAS 109 and FIN 48
- Prepare provision workpapers, identify and discuss uncertain positions, and review and prepare footnote disclosures
- Utilize and manage STS and draft tax provision memorandums
- Communicate with Assurance counterparts for timely tax accrual reviews
- Assist with developing and implementing efficient and effective methods to reduce tax liability for clients
- Identify consulting opportunities and provide support for client consulting projects
- Gather relevant information for controversy work and document all significant tax positions
- Introduce and develop new or improved ideas to improve client and Firm positions
- Prepare studies of tax implications and offer alternative courses of action as needed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics required; Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
- Three or more years of relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience preferred
- Industry expertise in one or more tax specialties preferred
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with tax research databases and tax compliance software preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and prepare simple tax returns
- Ability to effectively delegate work, train team members, and work well in a team environment

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May supervise and manage the day-to-day work assignments of Core Tax Services Associates
- Provide performance feedback and act as a mentor to Core Tax Services Associates
