The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various patent projects, including drafting, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, opinions, and due diligence. Duties:

  • Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
  • Prosecute patent applications before the USPTO.
  • Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
  • Provide opinions on patent validity, infringement, and enforceability.
  • Assist with post-grant proceedings, such as inter partes reviews and reexaminations.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews related to patent portfolios.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective patent strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice before the USPTO.
  • 2-5 years of experience in life sciences patent prosecution and related matters.
  • At least a Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field; a PhD is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of patent laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional excellence and client service.

 

Education:

Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field; PhD preferred.

 

Certifications:

Admitted to practice before the USPTO.
