Position Summary:

- Seeking a leader and strategic thinker with extensive knowledge across multiple areas of taxation
- Deliver compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, and closely-held businesses
- Provide solutions to complex tax issues and excel at understanding AGI & DNI
- Join Deloitte's growing Private Wealth practice

Responsibilities:

- Perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift taxes
- Lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning and implications of transactions
- Train, mentor, and supervise Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors
- Take on lead client-contact roles, billing and profitability analysis, and marketplace eminence building and pursuits

- Deloitte Tax LLP's Private Wealth team focuses on the specialized needs of the ultra-affluent
- Provide comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice
- Help clients make informed decisions regarding their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- 8+ years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Active accreditation as a licensed CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
- Experience managing projects and ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Prior Big 4 experience
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent research and writing skills
