Active membership and good standing in the California State Bar are essential qualifications. Educational requirements for this role include a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree in a related field. Possession of a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent cybersecurity certification is considered advantageous.
