Job Title: Tax Manager - Private Wealth
Experience: 5+ years of public accounting experience (3 years in investment management preferred)
Location: Multiple locations in the East Region (see below for full list)
Salary Range: $84,980 to $193,440 (may vary based on experience, certifications, and other factors)

Position Summary:
- Seeking a leader and strategic thinker with extensive knowledge in various areas of taxation
- Responsible for delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, and investment vehicles, among others
- Will handle complex tax issues and provide solutions to clients
- Must have a thorough understanding of AGI and DNI

What You'll Do:
- Perform high-level reviews of tax research and work papers for individual, fiduciary, partnership, closely-held corporations, estate, and gift tax returns
- Lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects, providing tax planning opportunities and advice on the tax implications of transactions
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors
- Take on lead client-contact roles, handle billing and profitability analysis, and participate in marketplace eminence building and pursuits

The Team:
- Deloitte Tax LLP's Private Wealth team focuses on the specialized needs of the ultra-affluent, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners
- Provides comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice
- Helps clients make informed, strategic decisions related to their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving

Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be able to work in a hybrid model that requires co-location in person 2-3 days per week
- Up to 25% travel may be required, depending on the work, clients, and industries/sectors served
- 5+ years of public accounting experience (minimum 3 years in investment management)
- One of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
- Experience managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent research and writing skills

Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Prior experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
