# Contract Attorney

The Alaska Public Defender Agency (Agency) is looking for experienced trial attorneys to provide legal representation to indigent individuals in criminal cases across the state of Alaska. Contractors will be compensated on either a flat fee or hourly basis and will have access to case-related expenses and services.

## Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

* Must be admitted to the Alaska bar
* Must possess an active State of Alaska business license
* Must maintain professional liability insurance
* Possess outstanding writing and analytical skills
* Possess strong oral advocacy skills
* Ability to work independently to research and compose legal briefs

## Compensation

Contractors will be compensated on either a flat fee or hourly basis and will have access to case-related expenses and services.
