A law firm in Kansas City is seeking a Government Contracts Associate Attorney with a strong background in matters involving federal government contracts. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional research and writing skills, a demonstrated interest in litigation, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. An active Bar license in the state is required, and preference is given to candidates currently practicing in the Washington, . metropolitan area and admitted to practice in Virginia or Maryland.

Job Duties:

• Manage matters related to federal government contracts, including contract compliance counseling, bid protests, claims litigation, and False Claims Act investigations.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft high-quality legal documents.
• Collaborate effectively within a legal team and communicate clearly on case strategies.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in federal government contracts, including bid protests, claims litigation, and False Claims Act investigations.
• Demonstrated interest in litigation and government contracts.
• Experience in contract compliance counseling and bid protests.
• Strong understanding of False Claims Act investigations.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active Bar license in the state.
