Job Summary:

As an Attorney III, you will provide legal representation for Mercury and insured clients in complex personal injury lawsuits with exposures over $100,000. Your responsibilities will include case management, developing case strategies, collaborating with claims partners and clients, and working with a team of legal support staff. Responsibilities:
- Provide legal representation for Mercury and insured clients in complex personal injury lawsuits with exposures over $100,000.
- Manage cases from initial stages of filing responsive pleadings through discovery and trial.
- Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with claims partners and clients.
- Direct legal support staff in daily operations to ensure accuracy and timely completion of assigned work.
- Conduct depositions, investigate, research, and evaluate cases for settlement, arbitration, and trial.
- Cultivate strong communication and negotiation skills to represent client and company interests in litigation.
- Work independently with minimum direction and effectively manage a reasonable caseload.
- Must have a law degree and admission to the Bar in the state(s) where practicing.
- Must reside in the state and geographic region where assigned files are venued.
- Preferred 10-15 years of insurance defense experience with significant jury trial experience.
