A law firm is seeking a Labor And Employment Associate Attorney with the following qualifications:

Job Overview: The Labor And Employment Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters, with a focus on California employment law. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of relevant experience, be licensed to practice law in California, possess strong analytical and writing skills, and have experience in deposition-taking, handling administrative hearings, and serving as second chair in trials.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on labor and employment matters, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, and employment contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other documents.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, including hearings before state and federal agencies.
  • Assist in the preparation for and participation in trials, including taking depositions, preparing witnesses, and drafting trial documents.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience practicing law with a focus on labor and employment law, preferably in California.
  • Active membership and good standing in the State Bar of California.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to take depositions, handle administrative hearings, and serve as trial's second chair.
  • Federal clerkship experience is highly desired.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:
