A law firm in Pasadena, CA, is seeking a Senior Trust and Estates Attorney to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, drafting, and implementing estate plans, offering tax analysis and advice, and handling real property transfers and distributions.

 

Duties:

  • Design, draft, and implement comprehensive estate plans for high net worth individuals and families.
  • Provide tax analysis and advice to clients regarding estate planning strategies.
  • Handle real property transfers and distributions as part of estate planning.
  • Assist with fiduciary taxation and fiduciary accounting matters.
  • Experience with succession planning, including income taxation of corporate and partnership/LLC entities related to family business estate planning, is preferred.
  • Supervise junior attorneys and provide guidance on complex estate planning matters.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, including business development activities.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting estate planning and taxation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of strong experience advising high net worth individuals and families in estate and tax planning.
  • Experience with trust and probate administration.
  • Strong academic and employment credentials.
  • Ability to work independently and supervise junior attorneys effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and articulate a business development plan.

 

Certifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of estate planning laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax analysis and planning.
  • Experience with fiduciary taxation and accounting.
