Job Overview: A law firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an Entry-Level to Mid-level Commercial Litigation and Class Action Associate Attorney. Previous class action litigation experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication, legal writing, analytical, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills and a business and entrepreneurial sense. They should also be capable of proactively managing competing deadlines.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on commercial litigation and class action matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with discovery processes, including document review and preparation.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and development.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Arizona.
  • Previous experience in class action litigation is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Arizona.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
