Duties:

  • Handle civil defense litigation cases in general liability, product liability, and/or asbestos/toxic tort.
  • Conduct extensive discovery processes, including document review and production.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Prepare and argue motions in court.
  • Attend mediation or arbitrations to negotiate settlements.
  • Independently manage and prepare cases for trial.
  • Make in-person appearances as needed, including attendance at trial.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the State Bar of California.
  • Significant civil defense litigation experience, focusing on general liability, product liability, and/or asbestos/toxic tort.
  • Proven jury trial experience.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to make in-person appearances on cases, including attendance at trial.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Excellent litigation and trial skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in conducting discovery and taking depositions.
  • Ability to prepare and argue motions effectively.
  • Proficiency in trial preparation and management.
