A law firm in Kansas City is seeking an Associate Attorney with litigation experience, preferably in employment law, to defend lawsuits and provide counsel on a variety of labor and employment matters. The successful candidate will represent employers in various legal proceedings and offer guidance on labor laws and regulations.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a wide range of employment-related claims and discrimination charges.
• Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations, covering class actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
• Offer advice and counsel to employers regarding labor and employment laws, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Handle a diverse caseload, providing timely and effective legal representation to clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
• Active admission to the Missouri and/or Kansas Bar, or the ability to obtain admission promptly.
• Understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures at state and federal levels.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, with a preference for background or strong interest in employment law.
