Duties:

  • Conduct patent preparation and prosecution for medical devices and mechanical engineering inventions.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients in matters related to patent law and intellectual property.
  • Draft and review patent applications, responses to office actions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant patent laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering. Other engineering disciplines with substantial patent experience in medical devices and/or mechanical products will be considered.
  • 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • High level of academic achievement.
