As a Supervising Attorney at Farmers, you will be responsible for managing a team of attorneys with our Los Angeles-area legal team. This is a virtual position, open to candidates throughout Southern California. The salary for this role ranges from $131,040 to $190,100, with an annual bonus potential of up to 20%. In this role, you will be responsible for providing competent, ethical, and diligent representation to clients in all assigned cases. You will also assist the Managing Attorney in supervising other attorneys in the office and performing other delegated administrative duties. Key Responsibilities:

- Make case assignments to attorneys supervised, ensuring that the complexity and exposure levels of cases match the skill and expertise levels of the attorneys
- Train attorneys and others as needed to improve their level of expertise
- Perform managerial and administrative tasks, as assigned by the Managing Attorney
- Inform the managing attorney of any problems encountered in case activity
- Supervise the maintenance of computerized litigation support systems
- Prepare and submit reports as required by the managing attorney
- Consult with and provide opinions to the Claims Department on insurance policy questions and legal aspects of handling personal injury claims
- Supervise assigned cases, including preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs, attendance at hearings, conferences, interviews, and trials or arbitrations, and any other tasks necessary for proper representation of clients
- Functionally supervise attorneys who assist the Supervising Attorney in handling particular cases
- Perform other assigned functions

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree required; law school degree and membership in good standing with the State Bar in the state of the position is located
- At least two years of experience as a Senior Trial Attorney or comparable outside experience, capable of handling cases of the greatest exposure and/or complexity with minimal supervision
- Some management experience or demonstrated management aptitude
