A law firm in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an experienced Estate Planning/Trust Administration Attorney with 6-12 years of experience. The ideal candidate will independently represent clients, manage legal matters, provide strategic advice, and participate in business development initiatives.

 

Duties:

  • Independently represent and provide legal advice to clients in meetings, proceedings, and negotiations
  • Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously, independently or collaboratively
  • Assign tasks to associates and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow
  • Prepare case theories, memorandums, and reports for Senior Management
  • Conduct due diligence in legal matters related to contracts and agreements
  • Consult with Managing Partner and Practice Group Leaders on client matters
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and explanation of legal proceedings
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of clients' businesses, economic drivers, and sector requirements
  • Participate in business development and marketing initiatives to expand the practice
  • Prospect for new clients through networking, marketing efforts, writing articles, and speaking engagements
  • Contribute to Corporate Social Responsibility, pro-bono work, and social activities
  • Coach associate attorneys and legal assistants to build their capacity and skills

 

Requirements:

  • Strong background in preparing estate planning documents and administering trusts and estates
  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar
  • . in Taxation preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail and professionalism
  • Self-motivated with the ability to inspire client confidence
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Lexis/Nexis
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters independently
  • Proven track record in client management and business development
  • Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards
