A law firm in Atlanta is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney. The attorney will handle various tasks related to case management, client communication, and administrative duties. They will investigate cases, maintain contact with clients and insurance companies, manage medical care, and organize case files. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

 

Duties:

  • Open new files and initiate client contact, maintaining regular communication
  • Fully investigate each case, gathering and analyzing intake information and documents
  • Enter case information into the database and maintain accurate records
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies
  • Manage clients' medical care, scheduling appointments, and explaining procedures
  • Continuously monitor case status and review medical records
  • Organize and maintain case files, preparing files for submission to demand writers
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Provide excellent customer service and time management
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Develop working relationships with clients, field associates, and vendors
  • Work independently and in a team environment while maintaining confidentiality
  • Possess basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited university
  • Admission to the Florida Bar Association

 

Experience:

2+ years of Workers' Compensation experience
