A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney to work with nationally ranked trademark and copyright attorneys. The ideal candidate will become a strategic counselor to clients, offering business-minded legal solutions for trademark prosecution, enforcement, litigation, licensing, and advertising. They will join an elite team of attorneys focused on solving intellectual property issues for leading companies across various industries.

Duties:

• Provide trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution services, including reviewing clearance searches and preparing substantive responses to PTO office actions.
• Prepare and respond to cease and desist letters and handle other enforcement matters, such as domain name disputes, UDRP actions, TTAB proceedings, and matters related to the use of trademarks on social media platforms.
• Contribute expertise in copyright law.
• Conduct complex and detailed analysis of legal matters using analytical skills.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.
• Contribute to effective team relationships within the law firm.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of . and foreign trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution experience.
• Active membership in the State Bar and compliance with CLE requirements.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• State Bar membership in good standing.
