Job Overview: A law firm in Encinitas, CA, seeks a Land Use Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of solid land use experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and enthusiasm for land use issues and trends, playing a crucial role in shaping the communities they serve.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research on land use, administrative law, zoning, affordable housing, CEQA, Subdivision Map Act, historic preservation laws, and the California Coastal Act.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on land use matters.
• Draft and review legal documents related to land use, zoning, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for development projects.
• Represent clients in hearings and meetings related to land use issues.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of solid land use experience.
• Strong interest and enthusiasm for land use issues and trends.
• Experience with administrative law, zoning, affordable housing, CEQA, Subdivision Map Act, historic preservation laws, and the California Coastal Act is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent legal research and analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
