The ideal candidate will handle client coordination from initial representation letters through trial, expert selection and coordination, drafting and responding to pleadings, as well as defending and taking depositions. Duties:

  • Coordinate with clients from initial representation letters through trial proceedings.
  • Select and coordinate expert witnesses for cases.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and motions related to construction defect litigation.
  • Respond to opposing party pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Defend and take depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in litigation.
  • Prepare cases for trial, including conducting pre-trial preparations and strategy sessions.
  • Act as first or second chair during trial proceedings.
  • Ensure strong attention to detail in all aspects of case management and legal work.
  • Preferably represent individuals and small businesses rather than insurance companies and large corporations.
  • Utilize technology effectively for case management and presentation in court.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Colorado Bar.
  • 5-10 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Experience in construction defect litigation, general construction, commercial litigation, and/or real estate law.
  • Deposition and trial/arbitration experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with technology for case management and legal research.

 

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
