The candidate will work in both financial institutions and creditors rights litigation and general commercial litigation (breach of contract, fraud, etc.), as needed. Should preferably have experience as a clerk for a bankruptcy judge. Should preferably have some experience, or at least a strong interest in learning, some or all of the following: bankruptcy litigation over the use of cash collateral, prejudgment remedies, motions for relief from stay and adequate protection, state and federal receivership cases, creditor's rights litigation including actions on guarantees, lender liability claims, and fraudulent transfer and preference actions. Strong research, legal analysis, writing skills, and interest in trial work are required. Must be a current member of the State Bar of California in good standing.
