A law firm in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to represent the firm's insurance company clients and their insureds, as well as corporate clients, in various aspects of civil litigation. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing cases independently and working effectively as part of a case team. This role requires litigation experience, and the candidate must have or be willing to obtain a Missouri or Kansas Bar license.

Duties:

• Provide legal representation to insurance company clients, their insureds, and corporate clients in civil litigation matters.
• Independently manage cases and collaborate with a case team to develop effective legal strategies.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and legal professionals.
• Attend court proceedings and hearings as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and legal standards.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of litigation experience is required.
• Active Missouri or Kansas Bar license or eligibility to obtain one after starting the position.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
• Sound understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
